Training

Our flight program is designed to help you obtain your license in the minimal amount of time with the greatest amount of value. We use an FAA approved syllabus and incorporate Scenario Based Training into our flight program. Our goal is to help you become a safe and responsible pilot while cultivating a passion for aviation. Our focus is on quality, progress, and results.

We realize that flight training requires a valuable time and financial commitment from you. Historically, flight training has taken one of two approaches. One method is to attend ground training first, then flight training, take the FAA written test and finally the FAA checkride. The other approach emphasizes self study, ground training as needed and flight lessons scheduled when the student is available. Both methods are valid but neither has proven to be more timely, valuable or financially economical than the other. Our multifaceted training program is designed to maximize the value of your investment while streamlining your training time.

Multifaceted Training Program

Here’s an example of how it works. Let’s suppose you have a two hour flight block scheduled, and the lesson consists of learning how to communicate with ATC (Air Traffic Control). For some, learning to talk on the radio can be intimidating. With our multifaceted approach, you’ll be able to practice talking to ATC prior to your flight lesson using our complimentary communications simulator. This will increase your confidence and allow you to easily recall what you’re supposed to say to the “real” ATC during your lesson. Following your flight and debriefing, you’ll practice answering sample FAA test questions that correspond to the information covered in your flight. This helps you to retain what you’ve learned, and understand the aeronautical knowledge you’ll need for the actual FAA written exam. The test preparation software is available for your use at the school, or from your home computer at no additional cost. The only portion of the training you are financially responsible for is the aircraft usage and flight instructor time. Because our training tools, teaching methods and flight scenarios are integrated into each lesson, our customers receive the maximum value for their time and investment. Most flight training experts agree that flying often, with organized study, equate to financial savings.
